Pune: PMC Orders to Shutdown Educational Institute, Guidelines For College & Wedding Hall

According to the Maharashtra government’s directive, Pune (PMC) has issued an order to completely close schools, colleges, and private coaching classes till 28 February. This decision has been taken due to increased infection of coronavirus. The PMC stated in its order that the online classes would continue. In addition, the study center/library will continue to work with 50% for competitive exams.

Guidelines given for marriage and hotels

Wedding: Only 50% seating capacity or 200 guests whichever is less will be allowed. It is necessary to obtain a clearance from the police for the ceremony. All hotels and bars will have to be closed at 11 pm. People will be banned from February 22 between 11 am and 6 am, except for the necessary service reason. Milk, vegetables, fruits, newspapers have been exempted from essential services. Also, the employee’s vehicles engaged in shift work have been exempted.

Sanitizer is compulsory for all citizens in the Pune area on all wedding lawns, halls, cultural halls, theaters, cinema halls, shopping malls, religious places, parks, and similar places.

The organizers must ensure that there is no crowd on their premises. It is also mandatory to strictly follow the rules of social distance and cleanliness. The PMC Commissioner said in his order that those found violating these guidelines will be prosecuted for offenses under the Act and Indian Penalty (IPC).
