SPPU Exams 2022: Students Union protest Tomorrow, demands offline MCQ exams

Pune: National students union of India (NSUI) & Yuvak Kranti Dal (Yukrand) are very active these days over student issues over exams. Pune University has now made all the preparations to take the exams offline. Meanwhile, the exams should be conducted in an offline MCQ-based pattern, so NSUI is preparing to protest on Thursday in front of the main building of Pune University.

The primary demand of this protest is that if the syllabus is taught online, then the exam should not be held in the traditional mode, making it a little easier for the students, and should be held offline with the MCQ-based pattern.

Since the beginning of Covid-19 in 2020, students have been attending lectures online. This is the first year for most of the students that they are going to give offline exams. But they have not even been appropriately guided for this summer semester exams.

On 14th June 2022 Students Union of India has decided to protest regarding concessions for summer semester exams 2022. Now the protest will be held on 16 June in front of the main building of Pune university.

Recently, on 2nd May 2022, NSUI Maharashtra President Amir Shaikh protested against Pune University Demanding to hold online exams. On this day Thousands of students & activists were standing with him.

The students claimed in this protest that the university that 70 percentage the syllabus was taught online. The syllabus is not taught completely in most of the universities of Maharashtra. Klapesh Yadav also Urged the SPPUs Vice-chancellor Mahesh Kakde that decisions should be taken for upcoming Offline Summer Exams in the interest of the students.

Recently Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. L. Maheshwari (Jalgaon University) had announce that they can hold summer exams in 2022 in the Offline MCQ Based Pattern Exam. Ajay Sapkal ( Students Activists of North Maharashtra University Jalgaon) urged the Vice-Chancellor of Jalgaon University to conduct an Examination on Offline MCQ Based Patterns. Prof. Maheshwari accepted the all demands requested by the students.
