Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Summer Semester Exams should be conducted in offline mode, Pune University has said in a circular. But along with Covid will come many other issues which the students will have to face, is that thing has even sppu thought or not?
Two big issues have come up in front of Pune University. The first issue is the students union. As you would know the Students Union of Pune has become very aggressive. There will be a campaign protest on 9th April 2022 at 12 PM in front of the main building of Pune University. Whose will demand that SPPU Summer Semester Exams must be in online mode. Students who live in Pune if they want the exams to be in online mode, then they can become a part of this campaign.
The second issue is that a letter from MSWA (Maharashtra Student Welfare Association) has also been sent to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackrey about it.
Why Exams Should be Online?
Now why exams should be conducted in online mode? Now when it comes to offline mode, it is necessary for students to get a sufficient time period for studies. Now that the Winter Semester Exams are over and the results are not out, the students have not much time left for the revisions to be ready for the Exams in June. viva exams, project work, and college-related other works will also take much time before exams.
So, lots of disturbances are there. More than 50 percent of the syllabus has been teached in online mode, according to the students. Do you know? if suppose the exams go offline? The minimum time duration for paper checking is 45 days. Sometimes this process can take up to 2 months. All these problems are also necessary to be heard by the university.
