SPPU Vice-Chancellor Reacts On Students’ Protest, Demanding Grace Marks & Combine Passing
Pune, 6th July 2022: Students of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Yesterday held a protest in the university. Combine passing or grace marks, so many points were discussed. Pune University Pro Vice-Chancellor gave his response regarding this.

A demand protest was organized by the students of Pune University outside the Vice Chancellor’s office of Pune University on Tuesday. A lot of students were participating in it. About Combine Passing, Re-Exam and Grace Marks Students wanted to know more about it from Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sanjeev Sonawane).
First of all, let us know why so many students had come to this protest? The exam was conducted through the offline descriptive pattern. The question bank was not given to the students. Those given were half or incomplete. The paper patterns were Changed on the spot. Most of the students were not informed about the paper pattern. Many stream papers were set difficult from the varsity.
Pune University Pro Vice-Chancellor He himself interacted with the students. Vice-Chancellor Sonawane said ‘We are thinking about all these things. We are thinking about Grace Marks, Combine Passing, and Re-Exam but let the result come once. After all, the exams are done we will think about how many grace marks to give and whether combine passing would be done or not.” They have not given confirmation on all these things whether these things are going to be implementing or not.

Another point Kulguru said which is worth noting is that the final results of 2016, 17, and 18 were included. In the same way, we will try to put the result for 2022, maybe we can announce the result better than that.
Overall the Vice-Chancellor has taken notice of the demands of the students. But Promise and Pune University are not close to them. Have seen this on the issue of Students Question Bank Already. Unless Pune University announces these things on a circular basis, you don’t assurance consider it.
But students have made this demand to Pune University so many times, so it may happen that the SPPU administration may think that the grace marks should be increased after the result is announced. Now it has to be seen what will be the reaction of the administration of Pune University on this. Grace marks should be provided in students’ results scores. So that the future courses of the students will not the obstructed. Also, consideration of combined passing for this semester is also beneficial for students.
